BOTTLED-IN-BOND BOURBON
Kings County is among the first craft distillers to release a style of whiskey once considered the highest class of American whiskey.
Bottled-in-Bond refers to American whiskeys (and some brandies) that are distilled, aged, and bottled entirely at one distillery, from barrels filled in one season, by one distiller and the whiskey must be four years old and bottled at precisely 100 proof. This was a way to protect the consumer from brands that were merely bottling up whiskey from other distilleries and blending or adulterating that whiskey. In an era when integrity is important to consumers, bottled-in-bond best expresses the advantages we enjoy by making all our whiskey in-house from grain to bottle. Highly allocated.

Making Whiskey From Grain To Bottle
Kings County Distillery is New York City’s premier craft distillery and among the most acclaimed small distilleries in the United States. Focused exclusively on whiskeys, Kings County has made a name for its bourbon, moonshine, and other creative whiskeys. We only distil whiskey for our label and we never sell whiskey made from any other source. All the corn is 100% organic, and we don’t use GMO ingredients.
“We began by making whiskey at home. This gave us a chance to learn for ourselves what makes good whiskey—in some cases our answers confirmed conventional wisdom, but more often they turned it on its head. As a result, our whiskey is idiosyncratic; its taste reflects our values. We believe whiskey making is more than a business: it is an historical, agricultural, political, and gastronomical act. And it should be good fun.” —Colin Spoelman, Co-Founder and Master Distiller.
